Before I knew it, I had two jobs, one at Star TV as a producer
for Prime Sports and another producing CD-ROMS. At the same
time, I started training for the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics. And
again I was thrilled to see just how much I could do. I worked
from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday at the CD-ROM Company. Then I
would take the ferry over to Kowloon side and work 9pm to 9am
three days a week at STAR TV. I worked the graveyard shift and
then all day Saturday. So I slept every other night and would
nap whenever I had the chance. I trained for the Barcelona
Paralympics during my lunch hour. I remember swimming down the
lane thinking, "If I close my eyes I can take a little nap
between now and when I hit the wall." So I swam during my lunch
hour and lifted weights before work in the mornings. In the 1992
Barcelona Paralympics, I set a world record for the 100-meter
breaststroke and won Silver and Bronze medals.
