In 1984, before moving to Taiwan to study Chinese In 1984, before moving to Taiwan to study Chinese Brush painting, I took a class in California to learn the art. This painting ‘Arion’ is an example. 

And I believe the small section shows the most important part of this painting. This little flick of black ink (on the left side) was an accident and happened when I was pulling my brush away from the painting. To me, this mark represents the horses mane and accidentally completed the painting’s composition. 

It’s an example of how real art often happens through a series of intentions and mistakes. And ofcourse we know there are no mistakes.
